The cap fits all BVS Cetie standard neck bottles (DIN EN 16293) — 30mm diameter. It is the industry standard for screw-top wine bottles throughout Europe and the world.
How long can wine be stored with this cap?
ALKOvin™ Tin-Saran gasket provides an oxygen-tight seal for up to 7 years when stored at 5-35°C and 30-80% humidity. Ideal for reductive, oxygen-free aging of quality wines.
What kind of closing device is needed?
BVS caps require a special roller twister that forms the thread and attaches the rim to the bottle neck. Manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic machines are available depending on the bottling volume.
What is the opening moment?
The recommended opening torque is 0.8-1.8 Nm, which ensures consumer-friendly opening and hermetic closure during storage and transport. Pressure tolerance up to 3 bar.
Is the cap suitable for carbonated drinks?
With a maximum pressure resistance of 3 bar, this cap is suitable for still wines and slightly carbonated drinks, but not for traditional sparkling wines, which require a higher pressure resistance (6+ bar).
