Frequently asked questions about 50256
How long can wine be stored with FineCap Tin-Saran corks?
Under proper storage conditions (5-35°C, 30-80% humidity), FineCap Tin-Saran caps provide reliable aroma protection for up to 7 years. The ALKOvin™ tin/PVDC seal forms precisely around the bottle mouth, reducing oxygen ingress to virtually zero. This makes them ideal for premium wines that require long-term bottle aging.
Which bottles fit BVS 30×60 caps?
Use only new glass bottles with a BVS/CETIE standardized neck finish (DIN EN 16293). The dimensions must match: A1 29.75mm, A2 29.29mm. Reusable bottles are not recommended, as even a small damage to the neck can break the seal. Always check compatibility with your bottling supplier before mass bottling.
What capping parameters should I set on my machine?
Recommended settings: head pressure 160-200 kg, side pressure thread rollers 9-13 kg, neck rollers 7-9 kg, lace diameter 27.5mm, pull depth 1.6mm. The opening torque should be 0.8-1.8 Nm. Always check leak tightness and opening torque on sample bottles before each production run.
Do the corks easily withstand the pressure of sparkling wines?
The maximum pressure tolerance is 3 bar, suitable for still and slightly foaming (petillant/frizzante) wines. For fully sparkling wines above 3 bar, use special sparkling wine stoppers. Leave 2% headspace at 20°C filling temperature and keep bottles upright for 30 minutes after capping to ensure proper tightness.
Is custom printing available on these caps?
Yes, FineCap caps can be customized with up to 8 colors on top and up to 4 colors with side screen printing. Hot stamping and embossing are also available. Custom designs are subject to minimum order quantities. Please contact our sales team for samples, design requirements and migration certificates prior to initial deliveries.
