⚠️ Important: Screw caps are sealing systems by material forming — parameters depend on machine settings and bottle neck properties. Always verify opening torque and leak tightness before each bottling run. Migration check required before initial deliveries.
Frequently asked questions about 46815
What is ALKOvin™ Tin-Saran Seal and why is it better?
ALKOvin™ Tin-Saran is a tin/PVDC film on a foam core (thickness 2.0 ± 0.2mm). The layer of tin forms precisely around the opening of the bottle when corking, creating a hermetic seal that reduces oxygen permeability (OTR) to essentially zero. This makes it the best choice for quality wines that need aroma protection for up to 7 years.
What bottle necks fit this cap?
The 30×60mm FineCap fits standard BVS Cetie bottle necks that meet the requirements of DIN EN 16293. Always use new glass bottles — reusable bottles may have damaged thread profiles that cause leaks. Check the opening dimensions before bottling.
What is the correct opening torque and how to check it?
The target opening torque is 0.8-1.8 Nm. Check with a calibrated torque meter on randomly selected bottles after capping. Values outside this range indicate incorrect capping parameters (head pressure, roll pressure) or damaged bottle necks — adjust before resuming production.
Can the cap be customized with printing or embossing?
Yes. Overprinting supports up to 8 colors, side-screen printing up to 4 colors. Hot stamping and embossing are also available. Contact FERMETECH for minimum order quantities and delivery times.
How should filled bottles be stored after capping?
After filling, keep the bottles upright for at least 30 minutes to allow the seal to settle properly. Storage range: 5-35°C, relative humidity 30-80%. The filling stage should leave 2% headspace at 20°C to allow for thermal expansion without stressing the seal.
