Flex Chamber BrewBuilt 2" Tri-Clamp
Usage: Our pressurizable Flex Chamber attaches directly to the X-Series Uni's butterfly dump valve and can be used for removing trub, harvesting yeast, and many other tasks. Since the chamber is made from clear Tritan, it works perfectly as a sight glass for monitoring fermentation activity. Ball lock adapters can be attached to the threaded ports on either side, allowing you to connect oxygenation or carbonation stones, or flush the Flex Chamber with CO2 and use it to inject hops or other ingredients into your conical.
Features: 2" T.C. connection. 2" tri-clamp, gasket and end cap included. 28 mm PCO 1881 threaded side ports. Chamber made from Tritan.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Flex chamber used for?
The Flex Chamber attaches to the butterfly valve of the X-Series Uni fermenter and serves multiple purposes: removing sediment, collecting yeast, and monitoring fermentation activity through the transparent Tritan wall. It can also be pressed to perform advanced techniques such as injecting hops or other ingredients directly into the conical vessel.
What is the Flex chamber connection size?
This model is equipped with a 2" tri-clamp (T.C.) connection that fits the X-Series Uni butterfly valve. The kit includes a 2" tri-clamp, gasket and end cap for immediate installation.
Can ball lock adapters be connected to the Flex chamber?
Yes. The chamber has 28mm PCO 1881 threaded side ports on both sides where ball lock adapters can be attached. This allows you to connect oxygenation or carbonation stones or flush the chamber with CO2 to inject pressurized ingredients.
What material is the Flex chamber made of?
The chamber body is made of transparent Tritan, a durable and transparent BPA-free polymer. This material allows the chamber to act as a sight glass, providing a clear view of fermentation activity, precipitation or yeast build-up, while also being able to withstand use under pressure.
Is the Flex chamber pressurizable?
Yes, the Flex chamber is designed to be pressurized. This enables advanced brewing techniques such as closed-transfer yeast collection, CO2 flushing, and injection of hops or ingredients into the conical fermenter without exposure to oxygen.
