What does the BSPP thread mean for compatibility?
BSPP is a parallel (straight) British pipe thread that seals on a gasket or O-ring face rather than on the threads themselves, so pair it with BSPP fittings and a sealing washer, not with a tapered NPT thread.
Why is AISI 316 used here rather than 304?
AISI 316 contains added molybdenum, giving it better resistance to chlorides and aggressive or acidic media, which makes it well suited to food and juice systems where corrosion resistance is important.
What is the right way to tighten a hex nipple?
