Frequently Asked Questions
How often should the fabric softener be regenerated?
Regeneration frequency depends on incoming water hardness and consumption. At 20°dH the capacity is 3360 L, at 30°dH 2240 L and at 40°dH 1680 L. When this volume is filled, regeneration with salt must be performed to restore the ion exchange capacity.
What devices can be connected to the softener?
The softener is suitable for commercial dishwashers and glass washers, combi ovens, coffee machines and other appliances where scale must be prevented. 3/8" connection and 1000 L/h nominal flow cover most professional kitchen appliances.
What water pressure is required?
The softener operates at an input pressure of 1 to 8 bar. If your water mains pressure exceeds 8 bar, a pressure regulator must be installed on the incoming pipe to protect the appliance and the connected machine.
Can the appliance be used during regeneration?
No. The connected appliance must not be used during regeneration of the softener because untreated or salty water can enter the machine and damage the machine or affect the washing result.
