How does semi-automatic regeneration work?

What kind of salt should be used?
Use food-safe regeneration salt in tablet or coarse grain form. Avoid table salt or salt with anti-caking additives as these can clog the resin bed and reduce performance. High-quality regeneration salt ensures optimal ion exchange and long resin life.
How often should regeneration be done?
The frequency depends on the hardness of the water and the volume of consumption. In typical commercial conditions, regeneration is recommended every 1-2 weeks. Monitor water quality at outlet and regenerate when softening capacity drops. More frequent may be required in areas with hard water.
Where should the water softener be installed?
Install in a dry, ventilated area near the water supply line, before dishwashers, coffee makers or steamers. Provide access to add salt and drain connection to drain brine. A 230V socket must be nearby.
Does it need a sewer connection?
Yes, a sewer connection is required to discharge the brine produced during regeneration. A standard floor drain or a separate drain line near the installation location is sufficient. Correct drainage ensures safe and hygienic work.
