How often should the fabric softener be regenerated?
The frequency of regeneration depends on water hardness and consumption. At 20°dH hardness the resin will process up to 2520 L before regeneration, at 30°dH approx 1680 L and at 40°dH approx 1260 L. Monitor water flow and regenerate accordingly to maintain effective scale protection.
Which devices benefit the most from softener?
The 12L softener is ideal for coffee machines, espresso machines, dishwashers, combi ovens, steamers and ice makers. Any appliance that heats or boils water is vulnerable to scale, which reduces efficiency and can cause breakdowns. Soft water ensures a better taste in drinks and cleaner results in washing dishes.
Can the connected device be used during regeneration?
No. Do not use the connected device while the softener is being regenerated. The resin layer is rinsed with saline solution and using the device at this time would result in raw or salt water. Schedule regeneration for low consumption hours.
What water pressure does the softener require?
The softener works in the pressure range from 1 to 8 bar. Below 1 bar the flow rate is insufficient and above 8 bar the housing and internal components may be damaged. If the pressure of the water network exceeds 8 bar, install a pressure reducer in front of the softener.
What is the connection size?
The softener uses a standard 3/8" connection that fits most commercial kitchen water lines. Use appropriate fittings and sealing materials designed for potable water.
