How should the valve be cleaned so it stays food-safe?
Operate it through its full travel during cleaning so the solution reaches the cavity behind the ball. Residue can otherwise remain in the dead space if the valve is cleaned in only one position.
How do I keep it from sticking when used infrequently?
Open and close it fully on a regular basis. A valve left untouched for long periods can stiffen as the seats settle; regular cycling keeps the ball turning smoothly.
What connects to the female/female ports?
Both ends accept a male threaded fitting. Apply a suitable sealant or PTFE tape and tighten gradually; over-tightening can distort the body, so the connection should be firm but not forced.
Can it handle acidic juice or similar media?
AISI 316 stainless steel resists acidic environments, so it suits fruit and juice applications. Confirm that the seat and seal material also match your medium and temperature.
