What makes this tank suited to fermentation as well as storage?
It combines a sealed top lid with sampling and gas fittings, so you can monitor and protect the liquid during fermentation and then store it in the same vessel. The two 1/2-inch inert gas fittings let you exclude oxygen once fermentation slows.
How do I take samples without disturbing the batch?
Use the dedicated DN15 sampling valve rather than opening the top lid. Drawing a small sample from the valve keeps the headspace sealed and avoids introducing oxygen or contaminants into the whole tank.
What optional fittings can be added?
The tank accepts several valve standards (DN, WG, garola, TC, Macon), a lower 3/4-inch side valve, a DN50 fitting with cap and air vent, lifting handles, a rectangular cleaning door and adjustable legs. Choose accessories based on how you connect pumps and hoses in your cellar.
Should I rely on the exact 800L figure for blending?
No, since actual volume may differ up to about 10% from the stated figure. For accurate blends, measure with the level indicator and sampling rather than assuming the nominal capacity is exact.
