What does the floating lid do?

It rests directly on the liquid surface and seals with the inflatable gasket to minimise air contact, helping protect the contents against oxidation during fermentation or storage.

What tank size does the kit fit?

It is made for tanks of about 950 mm diameter; confirm your tank diameter, allowing for up to about 10% variation, before ordering.

What is the water airlock for?

It lets fermentation CO2 escape while blocking air and contaminants from entering; keep it topped up with liquid so the seal holds.

How do I get a good seal with the gasket?

Inflate the gasket with the included pump until it presses evenly against the tank wall; an even, adequately inflated gasket is what prevents air gaps around the lid.
