Which side threads and which side clamps?
One end is a 1.5" Tri-Clamp ferrule; the other is a 1/2" BSP female thread, so a matching 1/2" BSP male-threaded part screws into it, while the Tri-Clamp end clamps to your tank or line.
How do I seal the threaded side?
The Tri-Clamp gasket only seals the clamp joint; seal the 1/2" BSP thread itself with PTFE tape or a suitable thread sealant.
Do I still need a clamp and gasket?
Yes. The 1.5" Tri-Clamp end needs its own matching 1.5" clamp and gasket; only the threaded end is sealed with tape or sealant.
Does the thread standard matter?
