Sample Port with NukaTap Shank x 1.5" Triclover
Usage: These long shanks are suitable to attach to large commercial fermenters and bright tanks with a 1.5" Tri Clover Port. Being removable and completely washable, this device is extremely easy to clean and sanitise before use.
Features: Ideally used with the NukaTap FC with AutoClose Spring for FC. Please note NukaTap SS and Autoclose Spring will not work on this product. You can use a NukaTap SS without return spring. Also compatible with: Perlick, Brumby, Micromatic and many more.
Technical data: 70mm total length. Standard tap shank assembly. 1.5" Tri Clover (Grooved).
Frequently asked questions about this product
What tank connection does this sample port need?
It mounts to a 1.5" Tri Clover (Tri-Clamp) port. You clamp it with a clamp and gasket onto a matching 1.5" ferrule on the fermenter or bright tank - it is not a threaded fitting.
Can I use it with a standard NukaTap SS tap?
No. It is designed for the NukaTap FC used with the AutoClose Spring for FC. The NukaTap SS and its Autoclose Spring will not work on this shank, so choose the FC version.
How do I keep it sanitary between samples?
The port is removable and completely washable. Detach it, wash and sanitise it before use; drawing samples through an uncleaned shank can introduce infection into the tank.
Why use a long shank instead of a short sampling valve?
The long shank reaches through the tank port to draw liquid from inside large commercial fermenters and bright tanks, so you can pull a representative sample without opening the vessel.
