What is a variable-capacity tank and why is the floating lid useful?
A floating lid rests directly on the wine and seals against the wall, so the air space shrinks as the volume changes. This protects partly filled tanks from oxidation and unwanted air contact.
What is the sample tap used for during fermentation?
The small sample tap lets you draw off a little wine to taste or measure without opening the tank. That makes it easy to follow fermentation and ageing without disturbing the whole batch.
How should an AISI304 tank be cleaned and cared for?
Clean with non-abrasive products after each use and dry the interior to preserve the polished surface. Avoid chlorine-based cleaners, which can pit stainless steel over time.
What are the bottom ball valve and racking tap used for?
The 1" bottom outlet drains the tank fully and helps remove the lees, while the ½" tap is useful for racking clear wine off the sediment. Together they make transfers and cleaning straightforward.
