Frequently asked questions about 2091
What is the maximum working pressure of this tank?
The tank is designed for a maximum working pressure of 2.5 bar. As standard, the set includes a 2.5 bar pressure valve, as an accessory, a safety valve can be installed for additional protection. This makes the tank suitable for pressurized beer aging, carbonation and other applications where controlled pressure is required.
How does integrated cooling interlining work?
A cooling liner surrounds the walls of the tank and circulates the coolant (usually glycol) through two ½" connections. This allows for precise temperature control during fermentation, aging or storage. The liner is essential for things like beer lager aging, wine clarification and handling of temperature sensitive liquids.
Is this container suitable for food and beverage production?
Yes. The container is made of AISI 304 (1.4301) stainless steel with a mirror-polished inner surface (BA/IIId finish), which meets the hygiene requirements for food contact. It is widely used in breweries, wineries, dairy and other food processing plants. All connections and surfaces are designed for CIP cleaning.
Can the tank be insulated for outdoor or temperature-sensitive use?
Yes. As an additional equipment, the tank can be equipped with 50 mm PU foam insulation, which significantly improves the thermal efficiency and reduces the energy consumption of the cooling system. Heating is recommended if the tank is installed in environments with variable outdoor temperatures or for long-term cold storage.
What cleaning and maintenance does the tank need?
The tank is designed for CIP cleaning (Clean-In-Place) using a standard DN25 washing ball. Regular cleaning should be done with food grade alkaline and acidic detergents. A 400 mm hatch (or an optional 345 x 455 mm oval hatch) allows convenient access for inspection. With proper maintenance, the surface of AISI 304 remains corrosion-free for decades.
