Maintenance and usage instructions:
Preparing a new barrel:
- Fill the barrel with solution (10g tartaric acid per liter of water)
- Soak for 4-5 days
- Empty thoroughly
- Disinfect with sulfur strip
- Fill with wine
Preparing a used barrel:
- Clean with anhydrous soda solution (1kg soda / 10L hot water)
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water
- Soak in tartaric acid solution (10g/L) for 2-3 days
- Disinfect with sulfur strip (1/4 strip per 100L)
Barrel storage:
- Keep in humid and cool conditions (humidity 70%, temperature 12-17°C)
- Use wooden or silicone bung
- Disinfect with sulfur strip every 3 months
