Plug 9.5mm Duotight quick connect
Usage: Duotight push-in plugs are used to block 9.5mm (3/8") tee fittings, elbows or other connections for gas leak testing or to close unused ports. Compatible with EVABarrier 6.5mm (1/4") ID x 9.5mm (3/8") OD line. No clamps necessary.
Features: Superior sealing with double EPDM o-ring system - twice the sealing surface compared to standard push-in fittings. Allows tighter hose bending radius without leaks. Simply push in the collet to remove the fitting. Engineered for maximum performance in both gas and liquid applications.
Technical data: Maximum working pressure: 100 psi. Material: EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) o-rings - excellent chemical resistance, compatible with ozone, oils, alkaline and acid compounds, water, alcohol, ketones and beverages. BPA free. Weather and aging resistant.
Warnings: Cut hose straight (not angled) to ensure complete seal. Do not exceed 100 psi working pressure.
⚠️ Important: Weight ~0.02kg. Always cut hose ends straight for proper sealing.
⚠️ Important: Pressure device - use under pressure. Max 100 psi. Exceeding working pressure may cause deformation. Use pressure gauge.
Frequently asked questions about this product
What is the Duotight plug used for?
It blocks an unused 9.5 mm (3/8") push-fit port, tee or elbow, for example to cap off a fitting you are not using or to seal a gas line for leak testing. It lets you close a connection cleanly without leaving an open path.
How does the push-in connection work and how do I remove the plug?
You simply push the plug into the fitting and the internal collet grips the line, so no clamps are needed. To remove it, push in the collet ring to release the grip and pull the plug out.
Why does cutting the hose straight matter?
A square, straight-cut hose end seats fully against the o-rings so the seal is complete. An angled or ragged cut can leave a gap that leaks, especially under pressure, so always trim the hose cleanly before fitting.
What is the pressure limit and why respect it?
The plug is rated for a maximum working pressure of 100 psi. Exceeding it can deform the fitting and cause leaks or failure, so stay within the limit and use a pressure gauge when working with pressurised gas or liquid.
