Usage: Professional push-in fitting designed for reliable sealing in beer and wine production systems. Compatible with EVABarrier 6mm ID x 9.5mm OD hose, connecting to 1/2" female threaded equipment such as hex nipples, camlock fittings, and 1.5" tri-clover connections.
Features: Superior sealing performance with double EPDM o-ring system providing twice the sealing surface of standard push-in fittings. The dual o-ring design allows tighter hose bend radius without leaking. Tool-free installation and removal—simply push in the collet to disconnect. Cut hose straight (not angled) for optimal seal. EPDM rubber offers excellent chemical resistance to ozone, oils, acids, alcohols, and beverages, with superior gas barrier properties and long-term durability compared to silicone or vinyl. BPA-free food-grade material.

Which hose fits this fitting?
This DuoTight fitting is designed exclusively for EVABarrier hose with an inner diameter of 6mm and an outer diameter of 9.5mm. It will not fit 4mm ID x 8mm OD or 5mm ID x 8mm OD hose. Always cut the hose straight (not at an angle) for optimal sealing.
How to install and remove the hose?
Installation is done without tools: push the hose firmly into the fitting until it passes both o-rings. To remove, push the wedge (outer ring) towards the fitting body and pull the hose out at the same time. No clamps or tools required.
What is the maximum working pressure?
Maximum working pressure is 100 psi (6.9 bar). Exceeding this limit may cause deformation or failure of the fitting. Always use a manometer to monitor system pressure and install a safety valve if necessary.
Is this fitting food safe?
Yes. The body is made of BPA-free food-safe polymer and the o-rings are EPDM rubber, which is approved for contact with beverages. EPDM is perfectly resistant to ozone, oils, acids, alcohol and common cleaning chemicals used in breweries and wine cellars.
What does a 1/2" female thread connect to?
1/2" BSP female thread fits any 1/2" BSP male thread fitting, including hex nipples, camlock adapters, ball valves, and 1.5" tri-clover to 1/2" BSP adapters. This makes the fitting very versatile when connecting the EVABarrier hose to tanks, buckets and re-pumping equipment.
