What is the advantage of the conical bottom?
The cone funnels liquid and sediment toward the central drain valve, so the tank empties almost completely and leftover lees collect in one place. That means less product loss and easier rinsing between batches.
It has wheels - what should I watch for when moving it full?
A full 250 litre tank is heavy and its centre of gravity is high, so move it slowly on a level floor and avoid thresholds or sudden stops. Position it where you need it before filling whenever possible, and don't rely on the wheels to bear sideways loads.
How do I clean and keep the stainless steel hygienic?
Rinse straight after each batch and use a sanitiser intended for stainless steel; avoid chlorine bleach, which can pit the surface. Dry it to prevent water spotting, and keep the hermetic top lid closed during storage to keep contaminants and insects out.
Why can the actual capacity differ from 250 litres?
The volume is nominal and may vary up to about 10%, and in practice you should always leave headspace rather than filling to the brim. Headspace prevents overflow when the liquid moves during transport or expands with temperature.
