FAQ:
I screw the tap all the way in, but it doesn't stay straight. How can I fix it?
It is not necessary to screw it all the way in. Just tighten it until the tap is straight before reaching the end of the thread.
Proper use of floating air lids:
- Always fill the tank with wine
- Place the stainless steel float lid on the surface of the wine
- Unscrew the valve on the pump to allow inflation
- Inflate the tube to about 0.7 atm
- Check that the tube is tight against the inner surface of the tank and close the valve of the pump
- You should check the air pressure every 15 days
If the tube does not maintain the pressure, check:
- That there are no holes
- The attachment between the air chamber and plastic tube
- That the air hose clamps are not loose
- That the gauge is not broken
- If the pump valve is not working
Frequently asked questions about SIP0450
I turn the faucet all the way in, but it won't stay straight. How to fix it?
It is not necessary to turn on the faucet all the way. It is enough to tighten it until the faucet is in a straight position before the end of the thread. This ensures a leak-free connection without over-tightening.
What to check if the pipe does not hold pressure?
Check that there are no holes in the pipe, examine the air chamber and the plastic pipe attachment, make sure that the air hose clamps are not loose, that the pressure gauge is not broken and that the pump valve is working properly.
What is the recommended fill pressure for a floating lid?
The tube should be inflated to a pressure of approximately 0.7 atm. This pressure ensures that the tube closes tightly against the inner surface of the container, preventing air from coming into contact with the wine, and at the same time does not overload the material of the tube.
Is this container also suitable for liquid foods other than wine?
Yes. Made of AISI 304 stainless steel used in the food industry, this container is suitable for storing wine, oil and other liquid foods that require airtight conditions.
How often should air pressure be checked?
The air pressure of the floating cover should be checked every 15 days. Regular checks ensure that the cap remains properly sealed and protects the wine from oxidation throughout storage.
