Tank 500L wine with oil floating lid stainless steel

Usage: Flat bottom wine storage tanks with floating paraffin oil lid. Ideal for wine and liquid food storage.

Features: Made of stainless steel 18/10 with flower patterned embossed exterior finishing. Concave welded bottom for easy cleaning. Complete with stainless steel threaded bushing for tap application. The floating lid is positioned on the liquid inside the tank and on the surface that remains in contact with the air, vaseline oil is then poured between the edge of the float and the inner surface of the tank. The vaseline oil is odourless, tasteless and being lighter than wine stays afloat and prevents air from coming into contact with the liquid.

How does the floating lid work?

The stainless steel floating lid is placed directly on the surface of the wine and moves up and down according to the liquid level. Vaseline oil (1.75L) is poured between the edge of the lid and the wall of the container, forming an airtight barrier that prevents oxidation. This system is ideal when the tank is not completely full.

Does the vaseline oil come with the container?

No, petroleum jelly (paraffin oil) is not included. Purchase approximately 1.75L of food-grade petroleum jelly separately. The oil is odorless, tasteless and lighter than wine, so it does not affect the taste or aroma of the stored liquid.

What material is the container made of?

The container is made of AISI 304 stainless steel 18/10, food-grade, with a floral embossed outer surface. Concave welded base ensures complete emptying and easy cleaning, 3/4" threaded stainless connection allows reliable faucet installation.

Can the container be used for liquids other than wine?

Yes, the container is suitable for storing various liquid foods, such as olive oil, vinegar, juices and other beverages. The 18/10 stainless steel construction is completely food safe and resistant to acid corrosion.

How to clean the tank?

The concave welded bottom allows for complete emptying and easy cleaning with warm water and food-grade detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry before reuse. The smooth stainless steel inner surface prevents residue build-up and the removable tap allows full access for disinfection.
