How should the tank be prepared before its first use?

What can be stored in this tank?
The AISI 304 stainless construction is intended for food liquids such as juices and wine and tolerates their mild acidity without corroding. Stainless does not impart taste, which is why it is preferred over plastic for longer storage.
How do I keep the bottom valve working and leak-free?
Open and close the 3/4" valve fully during cleaning so pulp and sediment do not dry inside it, and check its seal periodically. A valve left partly clogged is the usual cause of slow draining and drips.
Why does the stated volume include a tolerance?
Nominal volume is given with a small allowed variation, so the usable capacity can differ slightly from the headline figure; leave headspace rather than filling to the absolute brim. This prevents overflow when liquids expand or are moved.
