What operating limits should I respect for temperature, pH and viscosity?
It is rated for liquids up to about 35 °C, a pH range of roughly 3 to 11, and low viscosity up to around 3 CPS. Filtering hot, strongly acidic or alkaline, or thick liquids outside these limits can damage the plates or give poor flow, so cool and pre-clarify the liquid where needed before filtering.
Which beverages can I clarify with it?
It is intended for clarifying wine, juice, beer and similar low-viscosity beverages in small batches. Thicker or heavily particle-laden liquids should be roughly settled or pre-strained first so the plates are not overwhelmed.
How do I keep the plates and frame in good condition?
Clean the plates and the galvanized-steel frame promptly after each use so residue and acids do not dry on, and rinse thoroughly between different beverages to avoid carrying over flavours. Store the plates dry and check the Ø10/10 mm connection and seating surfaces for cleanliness before the next run.
