What liquids are these filter plates suitable for?
S30N filter plates with 4-micron porosity are ideal for fine filtration of juice, beer, wine, cider and other beverages. The fine porosity removes yeast and suspended particles, giving a clear and stable final product suitable for bottling and commercial sale.
How many liters can be filtered with one set of 20 plates?
The filtration capacity depends on the clarity of the input liquid, but typically one set of 20 plates (20x20cm) can filter about 500-1000 liters of pre-clarified liquid before saturation. Highly turbid liquids should be pre-filtered with coarser porosity plates to extend service life.
What is the maximum working pressure?
The maximum permissible pressure difference between the plates is 3 bar. Exceeding this limit can damage the plates and reduce the filtration quality. We recommend working at 1-2 bar for best results and longer plate life.
Are these filter plates disposable?
Yes, the S30N Cellulose Filter Plates are for single use. They must be replaced after saturation or use to maintain filtration efficiency and prevent cross-contamination between batches.
