What liquids are these plates suitable for filtering?
20x20 cm 5-micron filter plates are designed for precise filtering of juices, wines and similar drinks. The 5-micron pore size effectively removes fine particles and yeast residues, yielding clear and stable liquids for both home and small-scale production.
How many plates are needed for one filtration cycle?
The number of plates depends on the model of the filter press and the amount to be filtered. A pack of 20 plates is usually sufficient for several filtration cycles on a standard 20x20 cm plate filter. Change the plates when the flow slows down significantly or the pressure approaches the 3 bar limit.
Can the filter plates be reused?
These filter plates are for single use. If the plate is saturated with particles, the efficiency of filtration decreases and the risk of bacterial contamination increases. To ensure consistent quality and hygiene, we recommend replacing the plates after each filtration batch.
What is the maximum working pressure?
The maximum recommended pressure difference is 3 bar. Exceeding this value can damage the plates and reduce the quality of filtration. Monitor pressure during operation and replace plates as soon as clogging raises pressure out of safe range.
How to store unused filter plates?
Store unused filter plates in a dry and clean environment at room temperature, protected from dust and direct sunlight. Keep them in their original packaging until use to maintain sterility and filterability.
