Frequently asked questions about this product
How should the cap be used during hot filling to ensure a good seal?
The EPE liner is rated for hot filling at 70 °C for up to two hours, or at 100 °C for up to 15 minutes. Cap the bottle right after filling and let it cool, so the warm liner conforms to the rim and forms a tight vacuum seal.
Can these caps be reused after the bottle has been opened?
Pre-threaded metal caps with an EPE liner are meant for one secure closure. Once the liner has been compressed and the seal broken it may no longer reseal hermetically, so use fresh caps for long-term storage of a new batch.
How do I know this cap fits my bottle?
It has a GL28 / 28 mm screw thread and fits bottles with a standard 28 mm threaded neck. Make sure your bottle finish is also GL28, as caps of the same diameter but a different thread profile will not seat correctly.
How should the caps be stored before use?
Keep them dry and at room temperature, away from dust and moisture, so the liner stays clean and intact. A contaminated or damaged liner is the most common cause of a leaking closure.
