Frequently asked questions about this product
Why does the real flow rate often fall below the rated 22,500 L/h?
The rated flow is measured with water (1 cP). With thicker liquids the output drops — up to about 40% less at 1000 cP — because a flexible-impeller pump moves viscous media more slowly. Size the pump around your product's actual viscosity, not just the headline figure.
Can this pump run dry and work in both directions?
Yes. It is self-priming and can draw from a dry start at up to 6 m suction depth, and it is fully reversible, so the same unit can both fill and empty a tank simply by switching direction.
Is it suitable for food and beverage production?
Yes. The pump body is AISI 304 stainless steel and the EPDM impeller is CE/FDA food-contact approved, so it fits pasteurization, breweries and other large-volume food applications.
What operating limits should I respect for temperature, pressure and pH?
It handles media up to 95°C and roughly 2.8 bar, within a working pH range of 5–9 using the standard NBR seal. Staying inside these limits protects the impeller and shaft seal and prolongs service life.
