1000L stainless steel wine tank with oil floating lid
Usage: Ideal for wine and liquid food storage with floating paraffin oil lid system that prevents air contact with the liquid.
Features: Made of stainless steel 18/10 with flower patterned embossed exterior finishing. Concave welded bottom for easy cleaning. The floating lid is positioned on the liquid inside the tank, and vaseline oil is poured between the edge of the float and the inner surface of the tank. The vaseline oil is odourless, tasteless and being lighter than wine stays afloat and prevents air from coming into contact with the liquid.

It is not necessary to screw it all the way in. Just tighten it until the tap is straight before reaching the end of the thread.

How does a floating paraffin oil cap work?
The floating lid sits directly on the surface of the wine inside the container. A thin layer of vaseline (paraffin) oil is poured between the edge of the lid and the inner wall of the container. Since the oil is lighter than the wine, it stays on the surface and forms an airtight seal that prevents oxidation and the wine's exposure to the outside air.
How much petroleum jelly is needed for a 1000L container?
About 2 quarts of food grade petroleum jelly is needed to form a proper seal around the edge of the floating lid. The oil is odorless and tasteless, so it does not affect the aroma or taste of the wine. Oil is not included and must be purchased separately.
I turn the faucet all the way on, but it won't stay straight. How to fix it?
It is not necessary to turn on the faucet all the way. Tighten it just enough so that the faucet is straight before the end of the thread. This ensures a leak-proof connection and keeps the faucet in the correct position.
Is the container suitable for long-term wine storage?
Yes. AISI 18/10 stainless steel construction with a floating oil lid system makes the tank ideal for medium and long-term wine storage. The oil seal prevents oxidation, while the food-safe stainless steel preserves the quality, aroma and color of the wine.
How to clean the container after use?
The welded concave bottom allows for easy emptying and cleaning. Remove the petroleum jelly and lift out the floating lid, then rinse the interior with warm water and a food-safe stainless steel cleaner. Avoid abrasive tools that could damage the embossed surface.
