The added molybdenum in 316 stainless improves resistance to acids and chlorides found in fruit juices and cleaning chemicals, reducing the risk of pitting. That makes it more durable than 304 where acidic media and frequent sanitising are involved.
How do I install the female and male ends correctly?
Screw the female end onto a male fitting and the male end into a female fitting, sealing each thread with PTFE tape or food-safe sealant. Decide the orientation before tightening so the lever ends up easy to reach in the finished layout.

Cycle the valve fully open and closed now and then so the seats wear evenly, and flush it after sticky liquids so sugars do not gum up the ball. Avoid leaving it half-open under pressure, which can wear one spot on the seat.
