How should it be handled with a forklift?
Engage the forks fully into the welded base before lifting, raise the load evenly and keep it low while travelling. The horizontal body resists tipping, but never try to lift the tank by the valve or the carrying handle, which are not load-bearing for the full weight.
How do I care for the AISI 304 stainless steel?
AISI 304 (18/10) is food-grade and durable, but rinse it after each use and use a stainless-safe sanitiser rather than chlorine bleach, which can cause pitting. Periodically inspect the welds, the ball valve and the lid seal to make sure they remain leak-tight.
How full should I fill it for transport?
Treat 1100 litres as nominal - the actual size may vary up to about 10% - and always leave headspace instead of filling completely. Headspace stops the liquid surging against the lid and outlet as the tank moves and accommodates thermal expansion.
