Frequently Asked Questions
What container sizes does this thermal belt fit?
The 720mm Polifascia thermal belt is designed for stainless tanks with a diameter of 720mm and is available for tanks from 600L to 50,000L. The variable length of 2-13m allows flexible adaptation to different tank heights, and several modules can be connected in series or on rails for larger tanks.
What fluids can I use with the Polifascia belt?
The polypropylene adjustment belt works for hot water heating up to +50-60°C or cold water cooling down to -10°C. This makes it suitable for both fermentation temperature control and wine heating during malolactic fermentation, depending on the installation location on the tank.
How is the thermal belt installed on the tank?
Installation is manual and requires no welding or tools. A lightweight polypropylene belt is simply wrapped around the outside of the container and secured. The portable design allows it to be moved between tanks as needed, which is well suited to existing basement tanks without built-in thermoregulation.
Where should I place the belt on the container?
The location depends on the process. Positioned at the top of the tank, the belt effectively controls the fermentation temperature by cooling the warmer upper zone. Placed below, it warms the wine for malolactic fermentation. This flexibility makes Polifascia a versatile tool for the different stages of winemaking.
What are the main advantages over built-in belts?
Polifascia is very light, economical and portable. Unlike fixed built-in belts, it can be moved between containers, compactly stored and easily transported. This makes it a cost-effective solution for basements with multiple tanks or seasonal thermoregulation needs without modifying existing tanks.
