Thermal band 1100 Polifascia
Usage: Used to heat or cool tanks externally, especially for old stainless steel tanks not thermally conditioned, as well as controlling fermentation or malolactic temperature.
Properties: Very economical and lightweight, polypropylene jacket suitable for tanks from 600L–50,000L. Easily installed, can be fixed or mobile, applicable to all stainless steel tanks. Modular; bands connect in series or parallel. Module height 336mm, band length 3130mm, surface area 0.97m². Withstands hot water (+50 to +60°C) or cold water (down to -10°C). Variable length possible (2–13m). Can be shipped rolled up, taking little space.
Technical Data: For tanks diameter 1100mm, rim depth 3450mm. Module height 336mm, band length 3130mm, working temperature up to +60°C. Module surface area 0.97m².
Warnings: For use on tanks; not suitable where tight airtight sealing required. Not intended for plastic tanks lacking robustness at operating temperatures.
Frequently Asked Questions
What container sizes is this thermal belt designed for?
Polifascia 1100 is designed for stainless tanks with a diameter of Ø1100mm and a rim depth of up to 3450mm. Thanks to the modular system, the belts can be connected in series or parallel, covering tanks from 600L to 50,000L. The adjustable length of 2-13m allows precise matching to each container.
What temperature range can it withstand?
The belt can withstand hot water from +50 to +60°C for heating and cold water up to -10°C for cooling. The maximum operating temperature is +60°C. This makes it suitable both for starting fermentation in cool conditions and for controlling or cooling malic fermentation during peak active fermentation.
Is installation difficult?
Installation is easy and requires no tools. The polypropylene cover is lightweight and wraps around the container and secures. Can be used permanently or moved between containers as needed. Supplied rolled, taking up minimal space before use.
Can it be used on plastic containers?
No. This heat belt is for stainless steel containers only. Plastic containers may lack the necessary strength at operating temperatures of circulating water and their use is not recommended. It is also not suitable for applications that require a hermetic seal around the container.
How does the modular system work?
The height of each module is 336mm, the length of the belt is 3130mm and the area is 0.97m². Several modules can be connected in series or in parallel according to the volume of the tank and the required heat exchange surface. This makes the system highly scalable to different basement configurations.
