Frequently Asked Questions
What containers is this thermal belt suitable for?
Polifascia 1580 is designed for stainless steel tanks with a diameter of 1580 mm and a volume of 600 to 50,000 L. The variable module length of 2 to 13 m allows adaptation to the height of practically any tank of this diameter.
Can I use it for both cooling and heating?
Yes. The belt works with water in the temperature range from -10°C to +60°C. Use cold water (up to -10°C) to control alcoholic fermentation at the top of the tank or warm water (+50…+60°C) at the bottom to support malolactic fermentation.
Can several modules be connected together?
Yes. The modules can be connected in series or parallel connection depending on flow and temperature requirements. This allows for flexible covering of large tanks or multi-tank installations in the basement.
What material is the belt made of?
The thermal belt is made of polypropylene — a lightweight, chemically resistant and durable polymer that is perfect for basement conditions. It is easy to handle, space-saving in storage and safe in contact with stainless steel.
Is it suitable for malolactic fermentation?
Absolutely. Installed at the bottom of the tank and with warm water (+50…+60°C), the belt ensures a soft and uniform heating, which is ideal for starting and maintaining malolactic fermentation in red and white wines.
