Quick connect 8mm Duotight with check valve
Usage: This check valve fitting protects your regulator from backflow and is designed for both gas and liquid applications. Features low opening pressure of only 1 psi, making it ideal for brewing, beverage, and general fluid handling systems.
Features: Duotight 1.10 design with double EPDM o-ring sealing system for superior leak prevention. No clamps required - simply push in the hose for secure connection. Spring and internal components made from stainless steel. Compatible with EVABarrier 4mm ID x 8mm OD or 5mm ID x 8mm OD tubing. The double o-ring design provides twice the sealing surface compared to standard push-in fittings and allows tighter hose bending radius without leaks.
Technical data: Maximum working pressure: 100 psi. Opening pressure: 1 psi. Material: Stainless steel internals with EPDM seals. Connection type: Push-in collet design. Compatible tubing: 8mm OD (4mm or 5mm ID). Chemical resistance: EPDM compatible with ozone, oils, acids, alkalines, water, alcohol, ketones, and beverages. BPA-free.
Warnings: Cut hosing straight (not at an angle) to ensure complete seal. To remove fitting, push in the collet while pulling the hose. Suitable for clean liquids and gas only.
Frequently asked questions about this product
How do I make sure the check valve seals properly when connecting tubing?
Cut the EVABarrier tubing squarely (a straight, not angled, cut) and push it fully into the collet until it bottoms out, so the double EPDM O-rings meet an even surface. A clean, burr-free cut is what prevents the slow leaks that angled cuts cause.
Which way round should the check valve be installed?
It allows flow in one direction only and is meant to protect upstream parts such as a regulator from backflow, so fit it with the flow direction pointing away from the equipment you want to protect. With an opening pressure of only about 1 psi it adds almost no resistance to normal flow.
Can I reuse the fitting after disconnecting a hose?
Yes. To release, push the collet in toward the body while pulling the hose out, rather than yanking the hose, which protects the O-rings and collet teeth so the fitting keeps its seal over many connections.
Is it suitable for both gas and liquid lines?
Yes, it handles both gas and liquid, and the EPDM seals tolerate water, alcohol, acids, alkalis and beverages. For a reliable seal use it with 8mm outer-diameter tubing (4mm or 5mm inner diameter); other tube sizes need their own fittings.
