Enoclar R - Fining Agent for Red Wines

Enoclar R is an effective fining agent for red wines that combines:

  • Atomized gelatin
  • Egg albumin
  • Bentonite
  • Activated carbon

The fining agent enables:

  • Quick and effective wine clarification
  • Reduced sediment volume
  • Improved organoleptic properties

Instructions for Use

  1. Prepare hot water (10x product weight)
  2. Slowly add product to water while stirring continuously
  3. Let stand for 2 hours
  4. Add mixture to wine by pumping through
  5. Let stand for 4-5 days
  6. Decant from settled mass

Recommended Quantities

  • Slightly cloudy wine: 50 g/hl
  • Moderately cloudy wine: 100 g/hl
  • Very cloudy wine: 130 g/hl

How should the dose be matched to the wine?

Match the dose to the wine's turbidity: about 50 g/hl for slightly cloudy wine, 100 g/hl for moderately cloudy, and up to 130 g/hl for very cloudy wine. A small test first helps confirm the right amount.

What is the correct preparation procedure?

Prepare hot water at about ten times the product weight, add the product slowly while stirring continuously, let it stand for two hours, then add the mixture to the wine by pumping through and let it stand 4-5 days before decanting.

Why does it combine several components?

It blends atomized gelatin and egg albumin to bind tannins and particles, bentonite for stability and activated carbon to reduce off-odors, so a single product delivers fast, effective clarification with reduced sediment.
